Lisa’s Bio
Lisa Rothstein is an award-winning copywriter with over 20 years of experience in advertising and marketing. She has worked for Young and Rubicam, Lowe and Ogilvy & Mather as a copywriter and Associate Creative Director, both in the US and internationally, on such Fortune 500 brands as IBM, Johnson & Johnson and Unilever. A freelancer since 2001, Lisa has consulted and written for Vivendi Universal Games, Lenox Home, Sun Microsystems and countless small businesses and start-ups.
Lisa’s skills extend beyond mere copywriting. A certified coach and marketing consultant, she can help you come up with a strategy for your campaign or your whole business… or help you refine the one you’ve got. She’s a dynamic, fun presenter who is “good in a room”, and is an expert at taking direction and ferreting out the real need behind a client comment and delivering solutions that work.
Having worked on dozens of TV and radio spots, Lisa has extensive video and audio production experience. Need advice on your print? She’s also proficient in Photoshop.
Lisa worked as an Associate Creative Director and translator in Paris, France for 11+ years where she created multinational ad campaigns and adapted news broadcasts into English for the US. She speaks fluent French and knows how to write copy and create concepts that work across many cultures. Her work has been seen in 17 countries.
Lisa’s advertising honors include: CEBA (Communications Excellence to Black Audiences) ADDY, Mobius, Effie, a nomination for CLIO, plus awards from PC World and The Wall Street Journal.
As a screenwriter, Lisa’s work has been honored by Screenwriting Expo sponsored by Creative Screenwriting Magazine, the Slamdance Film Festival, the Austin Film Festival and the Chesterfield Writers’ Project. She is represented by Beverly Hills agent Caren Bohrman and Hollywood manager Andrew Kersey.
Lisa holds a Bachelors Degree in Semiotics (communications) from Brown University.
